Maria, through a programme of personal therapy sessions, prescribed exercises for home use and some hydrotherapy, has enabled me to dispense with an escorted wheelchair, regain my balance and posture enough to walk fairly easily and confidently on level ground for activities like shopping or gardening. This was no easy task with someone in the mid-eighties. Maria’s skills, experience and friendly encouragement have been invariably apparent and I am happy to continue with occasional sessions for reinforcement.
